Important unit:- 1m^3 = 35.3 cft=10.76sft
Answer:2 Define estimate? Types and also definition
Estimate:- This subject deals with quantity of different particulars of items and afterward its costing for any civil engineering work like building, bridge , culvert, dam , retaining walls etc.
There are two type of estimate:
Now, It also define as.
Rough estimate:- This estimate is based upon study of cost of building built in past and experience  estimates. It gives   approximate cost of building. The actual cost may be same what less or more.
Details estimate:- It is a exact estimate. We start any construction work in any town after getting the details estimate fully passed by local town authority
Answer:-3 Revised estimate:-when the labor and materials cost increased by more than 5% of the rate mentioned in the estimate. We have to prepared the new estimate with present time with present rate, such type of estimate is know as revised estimate. Its prepared because of change the budget of estimate so u want exact estimate.
Answer: - 4
There are two methods of quantity estimate for any building
1.Long wall short wall methods:In these methods we follow this process
For long wall, we take length out to out
For short wall, we take length in to in.
These methods take more time and we estimate any type of structure or building.
2.Centre line methods: -It is a short cut methods .this methods tells ,if we move on centre line and makes a closed loop ,its gives the correct length for any item of work in estimates.
Notes: - Centre line does not change at any stage.
Steps follows during Methods of estimates:

1.   Find centre line
2.   Superior of items of estimates
3.   Sum of centre line of wall or structure
4.   Find junctions to deducts or add quantity
5.   Calculate each and every item in estimates

Answer: 6 Purpose of estimating and costing
1.   To ensure that list of materials is completed before the starting work so that chances of storage of materials reduces.
2.   To ensure them should not any miss use of money and materials.
3.   Work is completed on time.
4.   To knows all the materials quantity & Cost
Answer: 7 What is rate analysis? Why its need?
Rate Analysis: - It is defined in terms of amount in rupee in order to construct any particular of item in any estimate of structure under considerations.
Rate analysis of Civil Works or Building Works is the determination of cost of each construction work per unit quantity. This cost includes the cost of materials, labours, machinery, contractors profit and other miscellaneous petty expenses required for the particular work to be complete in unit quantity.
Answer: - 8
Earthwork in proposed Roadway & Railway
Earthwork is the process of moving earth from those areas that are too high, with respect to the road grades, to those areas that are too low, and is a crucial aspect of the overall construction problem.
The purpose and scope of earthwork operations are to: improve load bearing capacity, control shrinkage and swelling, and reduce permeability or improve permeability. When proper construction procedures are used, desired results are achieved in an economical manner.

Answer: - 10
Type of bars in R.C.C. structure:
1.   Main bar
a.   Main straight bar (x no.)
b.   Main Cranked bar (x-1 no.)
2.   Anchor bar.
3.   Vertical stirrups
Bar bending schedule: - It is a table which shows all the details of steel reinforcement in any RCC structure. its also give the total quantity of steel required to constructed to the RCC structure.
In RCC (Reinforced Concrete Structure) TMT Bars are commonly used for its superior tensile strength. The Ribs on TMT Bars provide superior bonding in Cement Concrete. Best quality TMT Bars has a tensile strength of 64000 psi (PSI – Strength of Concrete is measured in pounds per square inch).
